We bought this kit for our ten-year old daughters birthday. Had I known it would have been such a hit, I would have ordered a few more for the other kids. The kit includes:
- Who Built The Pyramids? (31 page book)
- Miniature goggles
- Miniature tools (hammer, brush, flat head screw driver)
- String (to make a necklace)
- Sarcophagus (coffin to hold mummy)
- Pyramid to “dig” in (contains statute of Anubis, Pharaoh and Nefertiti, mummy, and necklace)
How the kit works is your child lays out the pyramid and digs for ancient artifacts with the tools provided. My oldest two worked for hours, they felt like real archaeologists!
My daughter said to tell anyone who buys the kit to remember to place something under the pyramid while you dig (we used a cookie sheet), or else you will end up with a big mess!
The kit complimented our current study of archaeology perfectly.
