Excitement, adventure and a love for learning await your children. “All aboard!” The Sonlight program for second graders uses the following Usborne books.

Homeschool Moms Review

The Sonlight Core 2 includes curriculum to teach children (ages 7-10) Bible study, History, Reading, Science, Language Arts, Math, Handwriting, Art and Music for a full year. Level 2 varies in price from approximately $200 to $400 depending upon the package you choose.

Sonlight uses books from Usborne as part of their curriculum. I love Usborne books and have used many of them in our own homeschool. If you are considering using Sonlight, but cannot afford the $300+ for this core level, I recommend ordering the Core 2 Instructors Guide (about $60 – skip paying for the binder) and then add some or all of the Usborne books listed above to start with. An affordable way to give Sonlight a try in your home school.

The homeschool families I know using Sonlight do so because they like how easy it makes teaching for them. The Sonlight Core 1 package includes everything you need to teach children (ages 6-8) Bible study, History, Reading, Science, Language Arts, Math, Handwriting, Art and Music for a full year.
