How We Stay Socialized

I nearly pull my hair out when this topic comes up.

I mean how on earth could our children ever be “properly” socialized if we keep them locked up in the house all day? Take a deep breath and brace yourself for what I am about to say…

Our kids are very well socialized.

They participate in a wide variety of activities including sports (we play year round), music lessons, homeschool groups, church activities.

They have a nice collection of friends of different ages and backgrounds.

They are polite, well mannered, and make friends easily.

Shocking, I know.

So relax. My kids are well socialized. So are most homeschoolers I know.

Are there examples you could point out of homeschooling gone wrong? OF COURSE. But something tells me a majority of inmates in the US prison system weren’t homeschooled. So to be fair, we would OF COURSE have to discuss that too. Sarcasm off.
