Homeschooling in Arizona - is it LEGAL?
|
Finding other homeschoolers living near you can provide both you and your children the opportunity to meet, socialize and make new friends with similar interests and life styles. Many groups organize field trips, park days, clubs, classes and other activities to keep your family busy.
Arizona Christian Homeschoolers
We are a Christian based homeschool support group who serves our homeschooling families in the North West Valley. It is our purpose to reach out to help the new homeschooler as well as invite seasoned homeschoolers. Our group's focus is on Involvement, Integrity, Respect, and Friendships. We are purposely not affiliated with any particular denomination to show respect towards our Christian members' individual preferences. We desire to create a warm and welcoming experience by providing a fun-filled day at the park, a monthly newsletter, multiple social activities for each and every member of your family, field trips, support for the new homeschool family with new comer meetings, and a yearbook for those who want one.
Arizona Families for Home Education
AFHE is a statewide organization that serves the needs and protects the rights of Arizona's homeschooling families. AFHE is a non-profit educational corporation directed by a Christian Board. AFHE membership is open to all homeschooling parents in Arizona.
Arizona Liber Association of Families
AzLAF started as a group of mothers using the Thomas Jefferson Education Model (TJEd) in their homeschooling efforts, who came together for a monthly homeschool Park Day. As our mission states, our goals are to foster and empower families who inspire greatness in others and preserve the American Founders' ideals of community, liberty, scholarship and self-reliance with a firm belief in Divine
Providence. We welcome families who want to learn more, as well as those who are implementing TJEd in their homes.
