Mini Pizza Friday!
I decided to do something fun for lunch since it’s Friday. The kids made guesses all morning as to what we were having for lunch. It wasn’t until I had all the ingredients out that they figured it out. They were really excited as they don’t usually have a chance to make their own food.
We used the following ingredients to make our pizzas:
- Biscuits (2 packs with 10 each)
- 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
- Few pinches of Italian seasoning
- Few pinches of sea salt
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Shredded parmesan cheese
I heated up the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning and sea salt while the kids rolled out the biscuits onto cookie sheets. E especially enjoyed this step, while the older two had fun despite some minor nitpicking about one another’s pizza shapes!
NOTE FOR NEXT TIME: I didn’t grease our cookie sheets because the biscuit directions say not too. Yeah, next time we are greasing. It was really hard to get our pizzas off.
The big kids spread the tomato sauce onto their biscuits. Everyone then took turns sprinkling the cheeses over the sauce. And then into the oven they went! It wasn’t long before we could smell our pizzas cooking.

Here are our mini pizzas, they turned out very nice and tasted great too. Yum! Yum!
A feel asleep during the pizza making process (which was probably a good thing) but woke up in time to enjoy our efforts.
Have a great weekend!
